This view of Jesus' words is the work of Neil Douglas-Klotz, author of "Prayers of the Cosmos: Meditations on the Aramaic Words of Jesus." In the first session of the workshop, we will review the history of the prayer, learn the Aramaic words, and attune to it using body prayers, chanting and singing the lines. ??? (Sat) Charlotte, NC Amina Linda McMakin "Our Father Which Art in Heaven...", a message of radiant love which emerges from a study of Jesus' words in his native language. This view of Jesus' words is the work of Neil Douglas-Klotz, author of "Prayers of the Cosmos: Meditations on the Aramaic Words of Jesus." In the first session of the workshop, we will review the history of the prayer, learn the Aramaic words, and attune to it using body prayers, chanting and singing the lines. Following an intermission, we will dance the Aramaic Prayer Dance Cycle, offered in the tradition of the Dances of Universal Peace. Words, music and movements for each line are taught; no prior experience is needed. Registration fees: Workshop - $20; Dance Cycle - $10; register for both - $25.
