Dance & Sufi Retreat: Deeper into the Heart of Love
Leilah & Bodhi Be Thursday ~ Sunday, October 16~19, 2008 Dancing Peacock Paradise, Florida near Ocala & Gainesville Bodhi, a Sheikh in the Sufi Ruhaniat International, leads practices & meditation, & accompanies dances & zikr on the dumbek. Bodhi’s presence nurtures the deepening of our inner life, with spaciousness, quiet, authenticity, & good humor. He brightens every day with a winning smile, seeing everyone’s divinity. Bodhi is an end-of-life counselor, affirming dignity & spirituality throughout life, who is doing cutting edge research & activities like hosting workshops with Ram Dass & setting up DOORWAY INTO LIGHT, a non-profit, spiritually based educational organization. Leilah, a Murshida in the Ruhaniat, has been called “the most eminent female zikr leader in the world.” She receives international invitations to travel widely to share her knowledge of the Sufi path, & to lead zikr & dances. Leilah’s quiet, unassuming presence radiates love for everyone, & sets the example for harmony & beauty in community. Her zikrs range from subtle to exuberant, carrying the group to deep connection with each other & the Divine, & to states of equanimity or ecstasy. We are indeed blessed that this couple has agreed to come all the way from Hawaii to be with us. Dancing Peacock Paradise
is located on Highway 315 between 318 & 316 (Ft. McCoy), on a private lake. The location in nature, SE of Gainesville, NE of Ocala, is rustic & beautiful. Accommodations are in the cottage, unique detached buildings or tents, mostly for 2 people. We will share bathrooms & outdoor facilities. Space is limited to 35 people, so pre-registrations will be on a “first come” basis. Registration fee includes teaching, practices & dancing Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon, 3 night’s accommodations, 8 vegetarian meals, a tithe to PeaceWorks & recreation at the site including nature trails, canoeing, & swimming.

Retreat dates: Thurs 7:30 PM – Sun 2:00, Oct 16-19.
A deposit of $100, along with your filled out form, will hold your place; then you may reserve accommodations when you have paid in full. Please plan to attend all 4 days, so that we deepen into the energy together. Since the retreat is certain to reach capacity, a waiting list will begin when all the places are taken. The entire fee will be due no later than Sept 15, 2008. Anyone who has not paid in full by then will be moved to the waiting list, a refund minus processing fee given, and the first person on the waiting list moved up.
Everyone helps with tasks (called Karma Yoga) during the retreat. (Such as setting or cleaning up meals) Directions, details, requests & assignments will be sent later.
$50 processing fee will apply on all cancellations. Refunds after Oct. 1 only if your place is filled. You may email before sending in your payment to check on availability if you wish to send the whole amount & check on a certain lodging. If your first choice is filled & the next choice is less, you will get a refund or credit.
